Kathmandu, Nepal — May 20, 2025 — In a powerful gesture of spiritual diplomacy and regional camaraderie, senior BJP leader Dr. Vijay Jolly visited the sacred Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu today, where he offered special prayers amid a grand ceremony.
Joining him in this momentous visit were Hon. Ram Krishna Chitrakar, Member of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly, former minister, and deputy parliamentary leader of the Nepali Congress; Hon. Narottam Vaidya, Bagmati Provincial Assembly Member; young journalist HB Tamrakar; and Dr. Jolly’s personal assistant, Bijendra Yadav. The ceremonial worship was conducted in traditional Vedic style, reverberating with chants and spiritual ambience.
Speaking after the rituals, Dr. Jolly delivered a powerful message:
“There should be no hierarchy between India and Nepal. We are equal nations — sovereign, proud, and spiritually intertwined. Nepal is not a small country; it is a dignified one with global recognition for its cultural identity and values.”
A Mission of People-to-People Connection
Dr. Jolly emphasized that his visit to Nepal is part of a greater campaign to promote people-to-people connection — the true essence of bilateral friendship beyond governments and treaties.
“I’m not here in a political capacity alone. I’m here as a friend of Nepal, as a brother from a neighboring land, and as a messenger of cultural unity,” he shared.
A Strong Stand Against Terrorism
In an exclusive short interview conducted by HB Tamrakar for S Nepal News right inside the Pashupatinath Temple premises, Dr. Jolly delivered a bold message against terrorism.
He stated firmly:
“Pakistan continues to shelter terrorism. I urge them to reform. India will not tolerate terrorism and is ready to respond with strength to any threat.”
He condemned the recent incidents in Kashmir and noted that India remains firm in its stance to protect its sovereignty.
Praise for PM Narendra Modi
Dr. Jolly did not hold back his admiration for India’s Prime Minister, saying:
“Modi ji is not just a leader of India — he is a global statesman. Under his leadership, India has gained unprecedented respect and progress on the world stage.”
He further added that Modi’s vision of regional peace and development aligns well with Nepal’s aspirations for growth, harmony, and dignity.
A Spiritually and Diplomatically Fruitful Visit
Dr. Jolly’s aide, Bijendra Yadav, remarked that this visit has been “deeply fruitful and meaningful.”
He added, “Dr. Jolly’s presence in Nepal, his prayers at Pashupatinath, and his respectful interaction with Nepal’s leaders and people reaffirm that Indo-Nepal friendship is rooted in faith, culture, and mutual respect.”
HB Tamrakar’s Noteworthy Hosting
The visit was further elevated by the thoughtful hosting of journalist HB Tamrakar, who interviewed Dr. Jolly at the temple, creating a blend of journalism, faith, and diplomacy in one powerful setting.
This was more than just a temple visit — it was a spiritual bridge between two ancient civilizations. Dr. Vijay Jolly’s words and presence in Nepal have sent a resounding message across the subcontinent:
India and Nepal are not just neighbors. We are family.
We are equals — in heritage, in dignity, and in hope.
May the friendship between India and Nepal forever grow deeper and stronger.
