Kathmandu / Tokyo –Under the dynamic leadership of Sangeeta Adhikari Subedi, Chairperson of the Asian Women Leaders Forum (AWLF) Nepal Chapter and Executive Director of CE Human Resources Company Limited, a 16-member high-level delegation from Japan recently completed a profoundly successful and inspiring visit to Nepal.
Comprising 14 Japanese citizens and one American national, the delegation experienced their first journey to Nepal—an experience enriched by cultural immersion, collaborative discussions, and leadership dialogue that transformed the visit into an exceptional socio-diplomatic initiative.
Dignified Engagements and Diplomatic Warmth
During their stay, the delegation had the honor of meeting numerous high-profile dignitaries.
The team was warmly welcomed by Her Highness Former Crown Princess Himani Shah, adding a royal touch to the visit. Further meetings with Hon. Minister of State for Forest and Environment Rupa B.K., Mayor of Bharatpur Renu Dahal, Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Sunita Dangol, and NRNA ICC Vice President Rabin Sherchan deepened the mutual ties between the visiting delegates and Nepalese counterparts.
Other prominent personalities including Chandra Tandon (CEO, City Express Nepal),
Mahesh Shrestha (CEO, City Express Japan),
Sampanna Shrestha (Censor Board Member),
Subash Shrestha (Member, National Sports Council),
Gore Sherpa (Project Manager, Hard Power), and
Ashok Sherchan (CEO, Prabhu Bank)
also participated in valuable dialogues fostering collaboration in areas like economy, policy, social development, and women’s empowerment.
Additionally, the team held fruitful discussions with Aman Kumar Maskey, Minister of Physical Infrastructure, Bagmati Province, and Bishnu Poudel, Minister of Finance and senior CPN-UML leader, focusing on economic opportunities, investment prospects, and future cooperation.
Creativity and Collaboration: A Visit to IEC College
The visit to IEC College of Art and Fashion was another key highlight.
Recognized as a leading institute in Nepal for fashion and interior design education, IEC showcased innovation, creativity, and technological integration.
The delegation observed first-hand how IEC is nurturing the next generation of creative leaders through globally competitive curricula, expert faculty, and international exposure.
Future collaborations were also discussed, including joint workshops, student exchanges, and global networking programs between AWLF and IEC.
A Grand Welcome by Nepal Airlines
Upon their arrival in Kathmandu, the delegation received a warm and respectful welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport, led by Dr. Rishikesh Panthi, Senior Officer of Nepal Airlines.
This gesture added depth to the Japan–Nepal relationship, reinforcing the spirit of friendship, mutual respect, and cultural harmony.
