HB Tamrakar, YNN,Kathmandu, May 20 – Nepal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, today held an important joint courtesy meeting with EU Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Ms. Veronique Lorenzo, accompanied by resident and non-resident ambassadors of several European Union member states.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, signaled a strong and growing partnership between Nepal and the European Union, with discussions encompassing a wide range of strategic and developmental topics, including:

Foreign Minister Dr. Deuba welcomed the EU delegation with warm appreciation, recognizing the EU as a key developmental partner and long-time friend of Nepal.
“Nepal is entering a new chapter in its development journey. Our partnership with the European Union is vital as we move forward on issues of climate resilience, sustainable investment, and social inclusion,” said Dr. Deuba in her remarks.
Ambassador Lorenzo, speaking on behalf of the EU delegation, reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to support Nepal in its post-LDC transition, pledging to deepen cooperation in trade, environmental protection, and education.
